If this is true then I need to watch Avatar again
In a shameless act of self-promotion I thought I’d stick something up about my new blog, The Leathersaurus. For some time now I’ve been maintaining and adding to a google map of the various bars in London I’ve been to, it’s now a blog with sort of reviews and accounts of each bar as I go to them. Most of the London contributors will be mentioned at some point, apart from Tom, who never comes to the pub.
Yay, my alcoholism is now art.

This is amazing – ‘they’ have a real life Professor Nutt telling us that crack is “better for us” than heroin and even better for us than booze!
“alcohol emerged as the most harmful drug, followed by heroin and crack” the news said so.
I was thinking of going for a beer this weekend but now Im planning a trip off down the local crack den for a pipe if anyone would like to join me?
NB: Illustration by yours truly and has nothing to do with the real issue or story but I think I might well have a job doing more of these for future stories if the right person sees it. Fingers tightly crossed.
Someone showed me this image the other day:
If you follow the link to the artist’s website, you can click on the image and it will zoom in, and in, and in to reveal that the pattern is made up of 1,000,000 names. The names are a representation of “organizations around the world that are devoted to peace, environmental stewardship, social justice, and the preservation of diverse and indigenous culture.”
You should also check out his other projects entitled “Running the Numbers“, where he represents statistics about US consumerism and waste, like the number of plastic bags used in the US every 5 seconds. Watch out though, you could spend a long time on his site…
Here’s a good example:
I was considering the other day whether or not I should get on the band wagon (admittedly pretty late in the day/year) and get myself a twitter account so I can tweet etc.
On arriving at the twitter home page I was presented with “Top Tweets”, a scrolling thingy* of presumably the present days favorite tweets.
I felt I should share this one with you . . .
This got me thinking about how “they” define and choose a “top tweet”. Does it have to be something about ipads? or conceivably McDonalds? or perhaps something to do with masturbation? or a mix of all three. This reasoning however doesn’t conform to all the top tweets selected on the day in question, leading me to presume that the selection of the above tweet for the top tweets on that was based purely on its comical value. This is however entirely hypothetical and so results in a waste of both my time and yours.
For those of you wondering I have decided not to tweet for the time being.
* highly technical web developing terminology – it would take to long to explain.
Graffiti. Girls.
Now I don’t care who you are. This is sweet.
