Clash of the Titans

The original Clash of the Titans from 1981 was one of my favorite films while growing up and Medusa scared the absolute sh!t out of me, gave me nightmares for months. Looking at this old trailer I’m wondering why I liked it so much, but then again I can’t be the only one with fond memories of it seeing as some bright spark has decided to do a 2010 remake. I hope to god it isn’t as crap as it looks, but with Sam Worthington starring I’m not holding my breath.

the Future Sound of Russia

As I’m sure we’re all aware now, I’m in the midst of a massive DnB phase right now and the usual record company to take my money is Hospital Records. Well they have just released this gem featuring artists from, yes you guessed it, Russia. It’s one of those albums that makes you realize there is a lot more to this music than just variations on the amen break.

Steen’s Ideal Woman

Just incase any of you missed out on this about a month ago, I finally got round to YouTubing it and thought I’d share.

Nothing quite like a good skate video to make you wish you could skate

I’m ill (not sick)

Anybody see that bit on Newsnight Review the other day when Germaine Greer told that eggheaded prick Mark Lawson that she reckoned crunk’n'bass was going to be THE sound of 2010? No? Shit… probably wasted my time putting this together, then:

Incidentally, the trailer for the documentary about Mr. Weezy looks ILL. What a mentalist…

Oh my days

Many years ago my good friend Ambulance Dave (pictured below, urinating in my front garden on Christmas eve following a trolley related incident) stumbled accross a poster for Larn Yersel’ Geordie. Ambulance Dave misread this and thought it was for a folk band called Larn Yersel. Understandable, given that the poster in question was displayed in the window of an independent folk music, instrument and over priced hi-fi shop – and Dave isn’t very observant.

Imagine my delight to discover that someone has helpfully done the same with these kids books.

Larn Yersel’ Yardie anyone?
